What is litigation financing
Litigation funding, also known as ‘Third Party Funding’ or ‘Litigation Finance’, is a form of funding in which a third-party funder provides financial resources to a claimant or plaintiff in a legal case, in exchange for a financial return from the repayment out of the recovery.
As a form of non-recourse finance, if the case is unsuccessful, the recipient is not liable to repay the funding.
